Each piece requires 10 to 12 weeks of creation in our EPV-labelled art foundry in Touraine, France. Yes — the Forest Audiard Sculpted Pen is designed to be a living artwork: both functional and symbolic. Unlike an ordinary writing instrument, it carries the imprint of a hand, sculpted in bronze and finished with precious materials in our EPV-labelled foundry in Touraine, France.
However, during its creation, we encountered a fundamental truth: writing with a pen sculpted directly on the body of another person’s handprint proved uncomfortable. To preserve both the gesture and the ergonomics, we placed the hand imprint on the cap. This deliberate choice ensures fluid writing while keeping the symbolic essence intact.
Thus, the Sculpted Pen is not merely an accessory. It can be used daily to sign documents, to mark decisive moments, or simply to accompany you in your everyday rituals. At the same time, it remains a living artwork, destined to be admired, preserved, and eventually transmitted.

For clients who wish, we welcome them to our Forest Audiard foundry in Touraine, France, a place of creation recognised with the EPV (Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant) label, where they can witness the poetry of bronze taking shape. Being here allows one to live the emotion of the gesture in situ, to sense the atmosphere of fire, metal, and time.
But for those who cannot travel, we have refined a process that makes the experience equally seamless: we can travel to you anywhere in France or abroad, or send you an imprint kit designed to capture the hand’s essence at home or in your office. The gesture is simple, intimate, and once returned to us, it allows our team to begin the creation process.
